The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana continues to support farmers across India, and today, February 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 19th installment of this scheme during his visit to Bhagalpur, Bihar. Under this initiative, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.

Who is Eligible for PM-KISAN?

The scheme is designed for landholding farmer families, which include husband, wife, and minor children. However, not all farmers qualify. The following groups are excluded from receiving benefits:

Institutional landowners.

Individuals holding constitutional positions (past or present).

Government employees (except Group D/Multi-Tasking Staff).

Pensioners receiving ₹10,000 or more per month.

Those who filed income tax in the last assessment year.

Mandatory eKYC for PM-KISAN Beneficiaries

To ensure smooth payments and avoid fraud, farmers must complete their eKYC verification. This can be done in three ways:

1. OTP-Based eKYC – Available on the PM-KISAN Portal and Mobile App for registered mobile numbers.

2. Biometric eKYC – Can be completed at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs).

3. Face Authentication eKYC – Accessible via the PM-KISAN Mobile App.

How to Check PM-KISAN Beneficiary Status

Farmers can check whether they have received the 19th installment by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website – pmkisan.gov.in

2. Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’.

3. Enter your Aadhaar number or Bank account number.

4. Click ‘Get Data’ to see payment details.
